When the mattress is used on the upper level, the barrier protects almost the entire side of the bed over a length of 165 cm.
When the sleeping area is on the lower level, an opening of approx. 35 cm remains for comfortable entry and exit.

Material & Workmanship
The safety barrier is made from solid pine wood.
As wood is a natural material, the grain, colour and structure may vary slightly. Over time, pine may naturally darken slightly.
Design
NIVO 165 was developed specifically for the IKEA KURA bed.
With a length of 165 cm, it protects a large part of the bed side without completely closing off access to the bed.
When the bed is used in the lower configuration, an open entry and exit area remains. When the upper sleeping level is used, the barrier creates a continuous protective line along almost the entire side of the bed.
The simple shape and natural pine look match the character of the IKEA KURA bed and make the safety barrier appear like a natural part of the construction.
